Wilckodontics / PAOO®

The Wilckodontics/PAOO® (Periodontally Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics) procedure was developed over 20 years ago by two brothers in Erie, Pensylvania, one is an orthodontist and the other a periodontist.

Dr. Shumaker is a certified Wilckodontics/PAOO® provider, having completed the required training with the Wilcko brothers in Erie, PA. He is one of the only certified providers in Northern Colorado for this procedure. Working together with your orthodontist he can help cut your treatment time from years to months!

 

This surgical procedure allows an orthodontic case to be completed in as little as 3-8 months. It can also really help in situations where your orthodontist has been trying to close a stubborn space without success. The procedure involves manipulating the bone around your natural teeth to "soften" it for faster tooth movement in combination with bone grafting to help improve the thickness of the bone and gum tissue which support your teeth.
